I’ve got a joke: What walks on 8 legs until it’s one year old, 4 legs until its twenty years old, and then 2 legs for the remainder of it’s life?

We put the most and the least emphasis on stress nowadays. “Stress can kill,” we all say, as if we care. And we brush it off: “Oh, I’m just stressed.”
But it is a complicated reality. It is anger, and fear, and anxiety, all rolled into one emotion—pressure building in a container without a lid. We all deal with it in different ways. Eating, vomiting. Sleeping, running. Violent outbursts. Self-mutilation.
When it comes down to it, nobody is truly immune to its effects. It is there, within all of us, slowly eating away at our livelihood, our self-esteem, our sense of self. And one by one, we all go insane. A couple of us end up in mental hospitals. A few of us become obsessed. Some of us hide in our houses, away from anyone who might help. Others among us make a choice, deciding to end it all. And the rest of us, well… “All the world’s a stage, […] the men and women merely players,” writes Shakespeare. The rest of us become adept at hiding it, content to lie, to act, to play along with who the world thinks we are… because if we don’t, we might shatter.
"If I thought of it, I would weep for me. But that would be awfully self-centered wouldn’t it?" - Loki
